IGN has sensationally proven the reality of Halo DS with a realtime gameplay footage video from their Nintendo expert, Matt Casamassina. Halo DS has been famously rumoured for a long time and this proof finally lays rest to the speculation. It looks AWESOME, but will unfortunately never see release as it was apparently scrapped.
The Beta copy shows a multiplayer game on the Zanzibar level (named Last Resort in Halo 3) and shows the games similarity with it's Xbox counterpart, even with the inclusion of the Warthog.
The video does not say who was developing the game, possibly suggesting that Bungie weren't behind the Beta copy seen in the demonstration.
Damn shame, that.
